an elderly married man. He escaped the punishment of the law
by adding his own death to that of his innocent victim.

of Ravenshill, one of the loveliest of infants.

His amiable and benevolent disposition rendered him universally respected
A friend has erected this Tablet in grateful recollection
of many acts of kindness received from him
E3. In a vault beneath the private chancel of this church
are deposited the remains of Francis TWEMLOW Esquire
He was born August the 16th 1783 – married June the 21st 1814
to Elizabeth, the younger daughter of
Sir Thomas FLETCHER, Baronet of Betley Court
by whom he had issue five sons and four daughters
and died March the 10th 1865. For a period of twenty-three
year he discharged the laborious duties
of Chairman of Quarter Sessions for the County of Stafford
with remarkable ability and disinterested zeal
In the same vault are deposited the remains of
Elizabeth TWEMLOW his wife who was born
November the 6th 1785 and died July the 18th 1863
